Traditional dugout canoe or mokoro trips over years have become a very popular way for travelers to experience the tranquility of the Okavango Delta and this is the most commonly silent form of transport, which allow travelers to move through the waterways.
It is not surprising that most visitors urging the real insight and taste into the lives of the people of the Okavango Delta choose to do these trips.
ITINERARY
In this tour, Guests are picked-up at the lodge / hotel at around 0700hrs in the morning and then embark on a 4*4-safari vehicle to the mokoro station (Boro NG32 concession 1hr drive from Maun).
Upon arrival, we will be allocated Mokoro and poler guides to take us through the channels of the Okavango Delta, keep eyes peeled for the wild animals. Head deep into the Delta and then enjoy a delicious lunch on a picnic in one of the Okavango Island before heading back to the starting point.
