The park is of course, named after the Chobe River, which runs along the Park’s Northern Boundary and forms the border between Botswana and Namibia. A home to the largest concentration of elephants in Africa, the Chobe National Park is one of Africa’s leading wildlife destinations. For a more predator-rich area, nourish your soul in the remote Savuti area.

Wild animal roam freely between these areas. Sightings are plentiful throughout the year because high water levels attract game and the predators. Chobe National Park with unforgettable memories with large elephant herds swimming across the mighty Chobe river.

Established in 1968, Chobe National Park covers approximately 11,700 sq km, encompassing floodplains, swamps and woodland. The Chobe River forms the park's northern boundary, which includes four distinct geographical areas: the Chobe Riverfront: the Ngwezumba pans; Savuté; and Linyanti.
