Experience the unlimited safari To Central Kalahari Game Reserve – Botswana
Discover the Kalahari Desert’s nature in central kalahari game reserve – Botswana in Africa where you feel such a total sense of space, silent & peaceful nights, freedom and wilderness. It’s one of the remotest and wildest places on the continent the central kalahari game reserve. Central kalahari game reserve is one of the largest game reserve in the southern Africa situated right in the the center of Botswana; it is characterized by vast open plains and ancient river beds. The san people have been residents in and around the area thousands of years ago. And if you’re looking for true wilderness, Kalahari is as good as it gets. To many people, this park is a magical place with sightings that are private, special and often unique and home to arid antelopes gemsbok, springbok and the black maned lion.
During and shortly after good summer rains (September to January), the flat grasslands of the reserve’s northern reaches teem with wildlife, which gather at the best grazing areas. These include springbok and gemsbok, as well as wildebeest, hartebeest, eland and giraffe. A great opportunity to experience the unspool wilderness while transiting to deception valley. We will arrive at camp to have lunch and enjoy an afternoon siesta.
We will head out for an evening game drive & sunset within the Deception Valley. Upon return to the camp, you will be treated to a hot camp shower before proceeding to dinner around a campfire. You will then retreat to your 3.2 x 3.2m tent / Meru tent equipped with a stretcher bed, a veranda and an attached bathroom with safari toilet, shower and face washbasin with warm water every morning.
On day two, we get up at sunrise and venture into the pristine wilderness of the rugged Kalahari Desert with 4×4 game viewer vehicle, Say hello to a fresh morning over coffee/tea and rusks on morning game drive picnic after discovering the unique semi-desert ecosystem in search of the desert-adapted creatures living in the Kalahari Desert. These include the distinctive Oryx (gemsbok), cheetah, hyena, eland, and even lion, our final leg of the morning drive will take us back through Leopard Pan to arrive at camp for lunch and enjoy an afternoon siesta.
After a well-deserved rest, we venture on an evening game drive through Leopard Pan and Deception Pan where we will enjoy a great sunset. Once the sun goes down we will head back to camp.
On day, three of our Kalahari wild camping and exploring the vast unspoiled wilderness you will also get to experience the desert on foot with a local tracker. A guided nature walk with Kalahari Bushmen (San) is a rare treat. On the guided nature walk, you will get a closer look at the African bush and gain insight into the remarkable culture of the Kalahari Bushmen with indigenous knowledge about this harsh natural area and its unusual inhabitants. Our cultural encounter with the original inhabitants of this arid region.
After a truly wild African adventure to untamed wilderness areas of the rugged Central Kalahari Game Reserve region, we had back to Maun.
